Code of Conduct by Responsible Business Alliance

Silicon Connection is committed to comply with the Code of Conduct set out by Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), formerly the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC).

Silicon Connection had started complying with the Code of Conduct set out by the former Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) before the organisation rebrand to the current Responsible Business Alliance (RBA).

Silicon Connection abides by the Code of Conduct by RBA, which establishes standards to ensure that working conditions in the electronics industry supply chain are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that business operations are environmentally responsible and conducted ethically.

We will continuously support and conform to the standards set out in the Code of Conduct, implementing the standards in our supply chain initiatives, as well as involving our suppliers to acknowledge and implement the Code.

Silicon Connection attained BizSafe Level 4, ensuring that our teams work in a safe and healthy environment, mitigating risks of getting injured through the daily work that is carried out.

At Silicon Connection, our employees are provided with fair and competitive compensation for their work, complying to the Employment Practices set out by the Ministry of Manpower. We also encourage work-life balance, supports training programme with allocated budget for individuals in the company, and create ample opportunities for employees to excel and grow with the company.

We are conscious about the effects of business to the environment. Over the years, we had recycling efforts and initiatives within the company, including eliminating unnecessary printing of documents for internal procedure. Our partnership with ELMS Industrial Pte Ltd (reputable Singapore-based electronics recycling and material management company) provide us a chance for safe processing, treatment and recycling of the electronic waste annually.

We had been actively supporting World Vision Singapore since 2003 as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. For every Full-Time employee in Silicon Connection, we commit to sponsor a child under World Vision Child Sponsorship programme. We have a dedicated committee to organise and oversee all Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Every year, we are committed to company-wide Corporate Social Responsibility outreach programmes to give back to our community.
