The semiconductor industry in Singapore started out in 1968 with National Semiconductor operating their first backend facility here at Toa Payoh. This is quickly followed by Texas Instruments, Hewlett-Packard, STMicroelectronics and many others. Today Singapore is a well-known “Silicon Island” and Silicon Connection is thankful to be part of this rich ecosystem.
